The Further Education Group invites you to join the Bronte Language Centre in Canada to study in beautiful Bronte, Oakville and Burlington, on the shores of Lake Ontario. Bronte Language Centre, is dedicated to providing the highest quality intensive English courses where the emphasis is on communication.
Oakville is a city of about 135,000 people. There is the popular Waterfront Festival during June with other celebrations and parades at different times of the year. This is a wonderful place to live and study English. Oakville is a lovely, safe area with a high standard of living. The Centre is a small and friendly Language Centre situated a few minutes walk from the lake, parks, post office, banks, pharmacies, shopping malls, coffee shops, cafés, fast food shops, stores and services. Oakville is about 30 minutes by car or 40 minutes by train from Toronto and an hour from Niagara Falls and the US border.
Burlington is a city of about 140,000 people located on the shores of Lake Ontario. Burlington is 40 km from Toronto (one hour by train). The city is known for its Royal Botanical Gardens, water-front trails, and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment. In summer, the city is popular for its festivals, beach, waterfront park, and intimate down-town atmosphere.
The BLC has an average of 7 students in each class. They have small groups to help you learn and get the attention you need to learn quickly.
All of the teachers are qualified ESL professionals with lots of experience. They are chosen for their personalities as well as their qualifications. We believe that friendly, enthusiastic and patient teachers are essential and they want your stay to be happy and educationally rewarding.

English Language Courses
Program Dates:
all year round
Program Duration:
20 – 25 hours per week English Language Group Courses between 2 – 25 weeks possible
20 hours per week Intensive Business English Language Course 2 – 16 weeks possible
20 – 80 hours Teachers Homestay lessons
25 – 30 hours Super Intensive English language courses
2 or 4 weeks vacation language programs for groups
Admission Requirements:
1. some knowledge of English
2. For the English Language Course a level assessment will be carried out.
Placement Testing:
Each student must write a placement test. This is a pen and paper test written once you arrive at BLC. Testing takes approximately 1 hour for the Grammar, vocabulary and writing section. After a short break, an oral test is given which takes approximately 30 minutes.
Application Deadlines:
· 1 month prior to commencement of the course
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
Applicants must submit:
● The FE / BLC Application Form
● Photocopy of passport or ID card
Please note: There are additional documents to be handed in for the visa procedure. Ask your local agent. Usually most official documents also need official verification and legalisation by the appropriate embassy.
