The master programs at Maastricht Hotel Management School have been designed for experienced professionals as well as promising graduates in Hotel Management, Business Studies and adjacent disciplines, who seek a thorough business education backed by prestigious European institutes. Both programs share a clear focus on the application of management theories in the hospitality industry. You will attend classes taught by faculty of Maastricht Hotel Management School and Universiteit Maastricht, by specialists from other renowned Tourism and Hotel Schools in the Netherlands, and of course by guest lecturers from the hospitality industry. While being part of an international student team, you will become an expert in hospitality management, with a special awareness of the practical implications of management decisions.
 
MBA Hotel and Tourism Management
 
The MBA Hotel and Tourism Management is a 1-year program aimed at professionals in the hospitality industry or an "adjacent sector" who are preparing for their next career step. The program has been developed in alliance with Universiteit Maastricht and is taught in English. Students are recruited internationally and have a minimum of 2 years work experience. While being part of an international student team, you will become an expert in hospitality management, with a special awareness of the practical implications of management decisions.
 
Innovative Hospitality Management
 
The Innovative Hospitality Management Program is a 1-year master program with a focus on innovation, cross-cultural management and personal development. This program has been developed in alliance with ESADE-Escuela Universitaria de Turismo St. Ignasi (Barcelona, Spain). Participants are hotel school and tourism graduates as well as students with an academic background in related fields such as Marketing, Business Administration or Communication. The program includes academic blocks in Spain and the Netherlands and an international work placement

Admission Requirements:
  • A bachelor degree from a recognized college or university (although in some instances admission may be offered to highly qualified candidates with its professional equivalent);
  • Proficiency in English: TOEFL 550, or a corresponding standard on an alternative test;
  • GMAT-score.
For the MBA the following added requirement:
  • Work experience, either in the hospitality industry or in an "adjacent sector": 1 year minimum, 3 years preferable. Candidates without sufficient work experience are referred to the Innovative Hospitality Management program;

Students from foreign countries may need a visa and a residence permit before they can enter The Netherlands. The Maastricht Hotel School can assist in the visa application procedures through a short procedure, the so-called 'verkorte procedure', which significantly reduces the amount of time required to obtain a visa.
 
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
 
Applicants must submit:
·        The FE / MHS Application Form
·        Photocopy of passport
·        An English translation of secondary school transcript and a copy of the transcript in the original language
·        Proof of proficiency in the English language
·        Letter of Motivation
