Intensive Academic English Program at the Anglo-American College in Prague (Prague), Czech Republic

Admission Requirement for all undergraduate studies.
If applicants at the Anglo-American College in Prague are non-native English speakers meet all requirements except for English proficiency (TOEFL score 500 – 525 or IELTS 6) may be provisionally admitted to AAVS for one semester after a successful interview.
Full acceptance is subject to passing an English language test with acceptable score by the end of the first semester. Applicants who do not meet the required language test score can be accepted into our one-semester Intensive Academic English Program.
Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP)
This one semester program is designed for students who are interested in studying at AAVS, but who did not meet the required English language test score. The program consists of three courses, which meet like any other AAVS course. Emphasis is on the development of the language and study skills necessary to compete successfully in an academic environment.
After successfully completing the Intensive Academic English Program, the student can choose from one of the Bachelor programs at the institute:
AAC offers a variety of interdisciplinary programs in Humanities and Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Law.
The B.A. programs in Humanities and Business are three-year (90 credit) Bachelor’s programs accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education. The Law B.A. is an honours program validated by the University of Wales.
Students who desire a four-year (120 credit) degree may choose to complete a minor program (30 credits) in addition to their major program (90 credits). Anglo-American also offers the possibility of earning a Bachelor’s degree in the USA from an American university through our 3+1 transfer programs. By combining major and minor programs, students can design a program that meets their individual interests and career goals.
The M.A. degrees in Public Policy, Humanities and International Relations & Diplomacy are two year (full-time) programs accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education.

1. Leaving certificate from secondary school (FSE/Plus 1/Plus 2/Inter/GED High School)
2. Good knowledge of English (TOEFL/IELTS)
3. 2 Letters of Motivation
4. Essay on Personal Objectives and Interests (max. 500 words)
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
Applicants must submit:
● The FEG / AAC Application Form
● 2 Passport size photo’s
● Photocopy of passport
● An English translation of secondary school transcript and a copy of the transcript in the original language
● Proof of proficiency in the English language (TOEFL)
● 2 Letters of Motivation
● Essay on Personal Objectives and Interests (max. 500 words)
Please note: There are additional documents to be handed in for the visa procedure. Ask your local agent.
