Medicine
 
The General Medicine program is listed by the WHO and it is recognized without any licensing examinations in all European Union countries (- applies to the nationals of the member states.)

The program leading to the Doctor of Medicine degree, consist of six years: two years of general medical studies, three years of clinical studies and one year of a rotating internship. The international programs in Medicine started in 1983 in German and in 1984 in English. Each year approximately 120 international students are enrolled at the English program mostly from Israel, Norway, Cyprus, Iran and USA.

The Semmelweis University seeks motivated candidates for the program with a solid background in Biology and Chemistry. In addition to these subjects you have to pass an entrance exam in English as well. The application deadline is in April and the course starts in September. Entrance exams are arranged at several locations in Europe, Israel, North America, Asia and Africa. For further details contact the representative of International Studies in your country.
 
Dentistry
 
You can study dentistry and get a Doctor of Dentistry degree in five years. The first two years of the curriculum are basic studies followed by three years of clinical subjects and rotation.
 
The Dentistry program is listed by the WHO and the degree granted by the university is recognized without any licensing examinations in all European Union countries (- applies to the nationals of the member states.) The Dentistry degree is also recognized by the Indian Dental Council.
 
The Faculty of Dentistry enrols around 50 international students each year. The entrance examinations are identical to those to the Faculty of Medicine. Entrance exams are arranged at several locations in Europe, Israel, North America, Asia and Africa. For further details contact the representative of International Studies in your country.
 
Pharmacy
 
The Semmelweis University in Budapest runs a small-size international program leading to a Master of Science in Pharmacy degree. The studies last for five years. The first two years of studies are similar to the basic medical curriculum, while the following years concentrate on the specialized subjects of pharmacology. The degree granted by the university is recognized without any licensing examinations in all European Union countries (- applies to the nationals of the member states.)
 
The entrance examinations are identical to those to the Faculty of Medicine. Entrance exams are arranged at several locations in Europe, Israel, North America, Asia and Africa. For further details contact the representative of International Studies in your country.

ADMISSION CONDITIONS
 
Applicants must submit:

  • The FE / CI Application Form
  • Four passport size photographs
  • Photocopy of passport or ID card
  • An English translation of high school transcript and a copy of the transcript in the original language
