The Hague University is a degree granting institution of higher education located in The Hague, Netherlands. It enrols approximately 16,000 students in the studies of Economics & Management, Engineering, Health Care, Behavioural & Social Sciences, Information Science & Technology, and Education, Sport & Languages. It employs approximately 1,300 academic and other staff.
From its inception, The Hague University has attached great importance to its international dimension, primarily because of its location in The Hague, the seat of the International Court of Justice and the residence of many international organizations and embassies.

Since August 1996 all the faculties of The Hague University have been housed in one remarkable building complex. The location of the building is directly adjacent to one of the city's main railway stations and within walking distance of the centre. The Netherlands's major international airport Schiphol is 30 minutes by car or train from The Hague.

The Hague University is built at the water's edge, forming the centre of a complex of shops, office buildings and cafes. The entire University occupies more than 80,000 square meters. The building is, however, not so massive as to be imposing. The architects designed a collection of quite different buildings, in which each study programme its own place with its 'own' study- and work facilities and its own section canteen. There is also a large library (on the first floor), a big sports hall (in the basement), a large auditorium and a central restaurant.

The Hague University offers over forty three and four-year undergraduate programmes leading to a bachelor's degree that can be taken either full-time or part-time. There are also dual work/ study programmes in which a student receives a salary from employment and at the same time follows a programme or study. The Hague University offers two full-time undergraduate degree programmes entirely in English, the four year International Business and Management Studies and the three year Bachelors programme in European Studies.
