Why not Mix Business Travel with Pleasure? Come to Holland for a Study Trip!
<< Back
When was the last time you took a weeklong vacation? For many of today’s business people, it's been awhile. According to a recent Travel Poll by the Travel Industry Association of America (TIA), day trips and weekend getaways have increased in the last five years. Responses to the poll indicate that shorter trips have become more popular than longer vacations.
One of the best ways to compromise is by turning a business trip (yours or theirs) into a mini-vacation. This probably is not feasible in all cases - there are some destinations that just don't fit as getaway spots. But, by using your imagination you can cut your expenses and increase your vacation time.
Go for the Meetings, Stay for the Rest.
A survey by the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), 62 percent of U.S. business travelers add a leisure component to at least one business trip per year. Globally, the trend is growing as well. According to research from Barclaycard 45 percent of business travelers "are actively trying to improve time spent away by taking their partner on a business trip."
Than why not utilize a trip to Holland or Europe in general to mix exploring these new countries and finding out about doing business over there as well.
